ERNST Expands 'Second Victim' Course to Multiple Languages, Enhancing Support for Healthcare Professionals Across Europe
The European Researchers' Network Working on Second Victims (ERNST) is pleased to announce that its comprehensive 'Second Victim' course is now accessible in English, Portuguese, German, Spanish, Croatian, French, and Slovak. This expansion signifies a pivotal advancement in their mission to heighten awareness and provide essential support concerning the second victim phenomenon throughout Europe. The forthcoming availability of the course in Hebrew, Finnish, and Italian further underscores their dedication to inclusivity and widespread accessibility.
The 'Second Victim' course is designed to educate healthcare professionals about the emotional and psychological impacts experienced following higher stressful events such as adverse patient events.
By offering the course in multiple languages, ERNST aims to equip healthcare workers with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate these challenging situations effectively.

This course is the result of international collaboration that emerged thanks to the ended COST Action ERNST, which participants continue to actively maintain through various initiatives, among which is the COST Innovators Grant 'European certification of interventions in support of second victims (RESCUE)'.
